How was everyone’s Easter weekend? I celebrated it with church, family and a big life change (keep reading if you are curious). I even wore a Easter dress despite the cold (Saskatchewan still thinks it’s winter, hehe). I tend to do this every Spring as my stubborness kicks in and I start to wear Spring attire even if the weather hasn’t turned yet. In my mind, it helps the weather decide to warm up, lol. I chose this white and blue pinstripe dress because blue & white stripes are huge for Spring and will be fantastic all summer long. I love the ruffle trim along the bottom of this dress as well as the adorable sleeves. It looks great with a classic pump as well as any type of wedge or espadrille. I assembled the cutest pinstripe dresses in the widget below if you want to take a peek as well as the exact dress I am wearing above.
THE BIG NEWS
Ben and I took possession of a NEW HOME last Thursday. We can’t say moving was exactly in our plans this Spring but God dropped this house into our laps! And we are excited, thankful and a little overwhelmed all at once. Ben and I have lived in a cute and cozy 780 sq foot house since we got married. We didn’t think we were going to live in it as long as we did but the time went by and we never found another home that felt right to purchase. While we could have afforded a larger and fancier home, the last thing we ever wanted was to feel mortgage broke so we chose to stay in our tiny house (even though it drove us both crazy at times) and trust God to bring along the right place. And He sure delivered!
We are now proud owners of a dated bungalow that is all ours. Let’s just say we are in FULL reno mode (watch my Instastories if you want to follow along) because literally everything has to be painted, along with new flooring and new fixtures. The house has great bones but is in desperate need of some TLC ♥
My favorite features in this house is our HUGE bathroom (it has a built in vanity for me to get ready every morning), the CLOSETS (you will never appreciate a closet like you will until you don’t have any), and a full size kitchen. I am not much of a cook or baker but I am excited to have space (sooo much space)!!! And of course now when family comes to visit I will have room!
We have so much to work on…like I said it’s overwhelming but I am going to try and enjoy the process and will thoroughly enjoy sharing before and after pictures with all of you! XO, Emmarie.
