Dresses and sneaks basically = the CUTEST look ever! Summer is fully on my mind so I HAD to wear this sunshine yellow ruffle dress to church on Sunday but, I won’t lie, I absolutely froze in the service, haha. Thankfully the sun was in full shine for photos after so I could capture the look. It was totally worth feeling like an icicle btw.
I have really been enjoying styling dresses down lately and I know it’s partially due to my more relaxed style in the warmer months. Honestly, if you haven’t tried dresses and sneakers, you gotta do it girl! I personally love a pure white sneaker and as you can see I added fun aviators and a straw bag (another item I am obsessed with for spring + summer) for an even more casual vibe.
So, how was everyone’s weekend? Mine was lovely, I spent a lot of time with my husband and was also able to connect with some family and friends. It really surprised me how good it felt to re-connect with people that mean so much to me! Sometimes, I think there are times in our lives that we need to create boundaries from people. I don’t mean this in a negative way. I just mean, we need time to work on ourselves. It is SO important because like you have heard me say on the blog before, we can’t help others if we can’t help ourselves first. But, there is also a secluding feeling in dealing with our issues. Don’t get me wrong, it’s so important and it’s VITAL. I guess this weekend just reminded me not to forget about how much a person needs connection along the way. Just think about how much less we would struggle with things if we felt like we had true community and connection. That’s one of the reasons I work so hard on this blog because I want it to be a place all can come and feel that genuine connection and love. So, that’s just a little bit that was on my heart this past weekend. Can you relate to this at all? xoxo
