I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! It was a warm winter day with loads of sunshine and the first outdoor photo session where I haven’t completely frozen.
Is anyone else as excited as I am for Spring? I won’t lie that this winter has been tough. Not only did it start full-fledge with the 1st of November but the wind chill has been ARCTIC this year and I have exhausted all of my winter attire. To anyone whom may romanticize winter, I am sorry to tell you, it gets old really fast…
While March can be a stormy month in Saskatchewan, I am choosing positive thoughts of Spring, especially Spring attire. Hello floral dresses and open toe shoes!
Winter, we’ve had a good run but Spring, I’m ready for you ♥
To get through the transition from Winter to Spring, I like to wear Spring jackets with winter accessories, scarves, beanies, mittens, etc, as needed. I also like to fully transition from over the knee boots to ankle boots (and dare I say flats when the snow is gone). And NOTHING says Spring to me like white denim (alas the white jeans). If you caught my InstaStories a few weeks ago, this was the exact pair I was wearing. I didn’t buy them in store but did end up ordering them online shortly after because I just had to have them. I love the distressing, raw hem and high waist and know I will be wearing them all Spring, Summer and Fall! They are seriously so comfortable and go with everything.
Another way I like to transition into my Spring wardrobe is by bringing in color. I usually start slower with greens or pastel and then work my way into bright hues. I especially enjoyed this green khaki jacket today with tan and camel (I know, I am obsessed with these tones).
By the way, I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for all the feed back on social media. It touched my heart that you were missing my fashion posts and I will do my best with the resources that are available to me to bring you loads of fashion fun in the future. XO, Emmarie.
