LAS VEGAS Travel Diary

Las Vegas

My husband and I just got back home from our 3rd visit to LAS VEGAS! There are still so many places we would like to see in the world but Vegas is a place we can’t help but return!

In fact, we are more and more convinced that we would eventually like to own a second home in Nevada. I was telling Benjamin that palm trees just “feel” like home even if that couldn’t be farther from the truth, haha. But it’s definitely a long term goal of ours to own a home in Las Vegas. Where we can escape our Canadian winters and our families can come and visit!

SO, if you haven’t been, can I just ask…what’s stopping you? One of the reasons I share so much on my stories and blog when we travel is to inspire you to take the trip!

I love travel so much, I want everyone to experience it!

WHERE WE STAYED

This time around, Ben and I stayed at the Luxor on the South end of the strip. It was my favorite hotel stay in Vegas yet! Ben upgraded our rooms (it’s an option when you arrive) and now I am spoiled because our room and view was spectacular!

My husband and I love to walk EVERYWHERE when in Vegas. This time around the only ride we got was from the airport and back. Everywhere we went was on foot, up and down the Strip.

The thing about Las Vegas is that there is so much to SEE!

You will be overwhelmed by the sight of it all but in my opinion that just makes the experience of walking so much better! There is NOTHING like taking in the sights of the Strip on foot. *In Vegas, I am happy as a clam just to walk, eat yummy food and TOUR the hotels. Every hotel has a different theme and are absolutely breathtaking in their own unique ways.

WHERE TO EAT

Ohhhh the FOOD in Las Vegas! Some of our top places to stop and eat include but are not limited to:

IN N OUT BURGER (above) ~ burgers, fries, and shakes and it’s cheap. But so SO good!

Las Vegas

SHAKE SHACK ~ more burgers and shakes (with a twist)!

MAGGIANOS Little Italy ~ Ben and I accidentally discovered Maggiano’s in Houston, Texas a few years back. Best discovery (and pasta) ever.

THE CHEESE CAKE FACTORY ~ GO for cheese cake! The food is good too but if I had to choose, cheese cake would win every time! *And do yourself a favor, don’t look at the calories. Just enjoy it and then walk it off!

And I even discovered edible COOKIE DOUGH (below) which you betcha I will be searching out again the next time we go!

Las Vegas
DELIGHTFUL

You might wonder, what there is to do in Vegas if you don’t gamble or drink? But trust us when we say! There is so much more to Vegas than slot machines, drinking, etc.

I will be the first to admit that I live in a bubble and I love it! I have blinders to the shady side of Vegas (we make sure we are street smart of course). Point being there is so much clean fun to be had in Las Vegas. And not everything has to cost you either. For example, one of the free things Ben and I enjoy are watching the famous fountains at the Bellagio!

We also enjoy the gondola rides at the Venetian. There are outdoor and indoor rides! *A little tidbit, we went for a ride a previous trip and I wouldn’t need to do it again. It’s just as much fun to simply watch and also pretty pricey for a short spin in the gondola. But maybe that’s just me, hehe!

Like I said before, I find endless enjoyment in touring the hotels. Some of my favorites are the Palazzo, Wynn, Aria, Venetian, Caesar’s Palace, Planet Hollywood, New York, New York and the Luxor.

Gwen Stefani

There are sooo many shows to see in Vegas! Safe ones I would say include Cirque Du Soleil’s! We previously attended KA and O as well as a variety show but my favorite so far was the concert experience. To be fair it may be largely due to the fact that I was obsessed with Gwen’s music in high school 😉

What’s great about Vegas is that all of their theaters are smaller which makes the experience much more intimate and you don’t need a seat close to the stage to have a great view!

All in all, Vegas (round 3) was one of the best trips of my life! We’re already planning to go back in 2021 with a few of our friends and family in tow (whomever we can convince) ♥

Okay guys, I know this doesn’t really have anything to do with Vegas. Except that I read it during our flight. BUT, if you made it this far in my blog, consider this the best recommend I could ever give you. And I truly mean this. IF you read this book, it WILL change your life. I am not even finished and I can tell my life will never be the same. And I plan to read this book over and over and over again. I am not going to go into detail but I will say this. If you trust me, follow this link and order it! When it comes in start reading it, THE DAY it arrives. That is all, xoxo.
