It feels sooo good to be back! I missed you, yes YOU my friend, and even though I didn’t exactly go anywhere (you can hang out with me daily on IG ♡) I have missed the connection here.
Since it’s been awhile, I thought I would give you a lil’ life update, hehe!
September had a few highlights including Ben and I’s 10 Year ANNIVERSARY! I still can hardly believe that we’ve been married for 10 years. We celebrated with a quiet weekend in the city and when I say quiet, I mean quiet. I’m talking a whole row to ourselves at the IMAX, lol. Side note: things are so weird with COVID right now but I realize that is a whole other discussion…
I’ll just say, it really was the perfect weekend!
Next up, I got my hair colored (just a little bit brighter). I know that’s not the most exciting of news but I feel so much more like myself. The back story is, I colored my hair last September too dark and I kind of just lived with it. SO, having my natural back with a few highlights around my face feels just right.
Like I said, I have been extra active on the gram. I even made my FIRST reel followed by a couple more, haha. Let’s just say I am learning as I go and they are hair related! Been having a lot of fun with them, definitely trying to not take myself too seriously. Although, I am still working on relaxing my face, I don’t know why that’s so hard, lol.
On the fashion side of things, I have been focusing on two things this fall! One, continuing to build a curated wardrobe and two, recycling my closet. What I mean by that is, every new item that I have bought has been purchased with money from clothing that I have sold on either my local online garage sale or Poshmark.
And I have to say it has been so satisfying!
It has made me enjoy the wardrobe I have now SO much more. The majority of what you see styled above is last season or older! It makes me so happy that a decision I made a few years ago (to focus on buying the RIGHT items) is paying off in such a big way. I don’t always get it right but I am truly learning so much along the way and every season I am more and more content with my wardrobe!
Okay one more thing before I go. Fashion related of course, lol. An item that kind of surprised me this Autumn was the SHACKET. I bought mine last winter because I thought it was so cute and this Fall it literally blew up. Everyone has or wants a shacket! *another noteworthy item, faux leather leggings. I couldn’t stop wearing mine with a crisp white blouse and loafers. You’ll see above, I paired with a maxi cardigan and a classic trench and I have sooo many styling ideas for winter! I would highly recommend getting yourself a pair.
