Date Night and New Hair Care

I thought it would be really fun to do a blog touching upon date night with my husband. Specifically my date night routine AND I am on a new hair care adventure so I wanted to share about that as well!

Benjamin and I early on in our relationship saw the value in setting aside an entire evening, just the two of us. We like to go on dates at least twice a month and will sneak in more if possible. I would be dishonest if I didn’t say that dates could easily take the back burner in our busy lives. But we guard our relationship fiercely and these special evenings are one of the ways we do that. We always want to keep our relationship number 1!

But, let’s jump into the fun stuff. My date night routine. While life can often get in the way, I absolutely love when I have the time to glam up. Even if it’s only a little when we go out. This particular evening I was spoiled rotten and able to get ready in our hotel during our stay in Regina. I may have fallen in love with the walk in shower in the bathroom. And don’t even get me started on the lit up mirror! It made the entire “getting ready” experience so much fun, felt so luxurious.

There is nothing more amazing than fresh, clean, hair so I love to wash my hair, complete with a blow out. Which brings me to a little announcement concerning my recent hair care. I have decided to embark on a hair adventure with Monat. You may have heard of it? If not, it’s an all natural hair care product line that is reaping wonderful result. As a hair stylist I take my choice of hair products very seriously. And from someone who has been growing my mane out for years but struggles with fragile hair, Monat definitely caught my interest. I finally decided to “go for it!”

This was my third wash with it and my hair has never felt softer! I am not exaggerating when I tell you that my hair has never blown out smoother. The way it feels on my scalp is so refreshing and I cannot wait to see the results that will come over time. I am brand new to this product and will be doing a focused review on solely Monat when the time is right. Today is only about sharing something new and hopefully peaking interest at the same time. One of my final touches to date night is always a great lipstick. As I have mentioned before, makeup is not my strength so I love that I can depend on a great shade of lipstick to pull all my efforts together. And finally, when dressing for a date night, I take into account the activity that we are doing. This particular evening was a night at the movies so I kept things casual but still had lots of fun with accessories. You may have noticed that the accessories I chose would be perfect holiday accessories. This was definitely on purpose, Tis’ The Season 😉 I personally adore anything that sparkles and faux fur this time of year. And just imagine wearing these specific accessories with a great holiday dress! I am smiling just thinking about how great that would look!
